April and Andru’s wedding was held on a chilly spring day at The Silverthorne Pavilion in Silverthorne, Colorado. What an amazing location! Everyone in Colorado knows Silverthorne is an awesome little town in Summit County close to some of Colorado’s towering 14ers. The town of Silverthorne has a thriving local business scene and the natural beauty of the area creates an amazing backdrop for a wedding venue. April and Andru’s ‘no look’ before the ceremony made it even more special when the beautiful bride and groom finally saw each other at the ceremony.
The ceremony was held by the river with the mountains as a backdrop. Everyone enjoyed the picturesque setting with the sound of the rushing river in the background.
The reception was breathtakingly beautiful. Their large group of family and friends entertained us all with hilarious and very moving toasts. At times there weren’t many dry eyes in the room. All this was followed by a serious dance party.
As soon as April and Andru could take a break from all the fun, we headed outside for portraits by the river. After-ceremony portraits during and after sunset with the bride and groom are one of my absolute favorite times during the wedding day. Once the stress of the ceremony and family portraits are over it’s so much easier for everyone to relax and get some much-needed down time and intimate photos. Wedding days are often so busy that we all forget to take a deep breath and think about the magic of the day and what it means. All the business of the day is hard to process, but taking those few minutes away take it all in helps it not move quite as fast, at least for a moment. Thank you April and Andru for letting me part of your amazing wedding day.
